For many of our clients, they live on a small budget and unable to afford to celebrate much. Lots of the families we support may have never celebrated Christmas before, and we want to bring some joy and treats to them at this time of year.
We need donations of sweets, chocolates, biscuits, cakes, mince pies, angel delight, rice pudding, trifle kits and other puddings and treats with Christmas dates on. Donations can be dropped to 19 Napier st, CV1 5PR Monday or Tuesday 10am – 1pm.
We are also looking for shoeboxes filled with gifts for children or gifts for adults. Take a shoebox, wrap the box and lid separately, fill with new gifts for a child in poverty, or an adult and label the top with a sharpie with gender (if applicable) and age.
Toys and Gifts
We ask our supporters to pack small gifts, toys and sweets into wrapped shoeboxes. We distribute these as well larger toys and gifts to all our families at Christmas time.
We hold a large christmas party where our clients get to meet santa, receive their gifts and have some festive fun!
Christmas Party Bags
We know that the little luxuries we take for granted at Christmas are often out of reach on a small budget, so we give away party bags with cakes, sweets, chocolates, mince pies, jelly, custard, selection box, crackers and a £10 supermarket voucher.
Let’s make more children smile this Christmas
The Christmas Project relies heavily on donations of party food, shopping vouchers, long-life bags, new toys and gifts for all ages. We also need around 50 seasonal volunteers. Please do get in touch if you can help.
