Job Opportunity: Apprentice Business Support Officer at Coventry City council Migration Team

At Carriers of Hope we like to share local opportunities that can help people build skills and confidence. One chance that might interest some of our clients is an Apprentice Business Support Officer role with Coventry City Council’s Migration Team.

This is a full‑time job with a salary of about £20,932 a year, and it is also an apprenticeship. That means you learn while you work and you study towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification at the same time. It’s a great way to get paid office experience, improve your English, IT, and organisational skills, and open doors to future jobs in the public sector.

You will help with everyday office tasks such as answering emails, updating records, preparing documents, taking meeting notes, supporting events, and helping with paperwork for projects that support refugees, asylum seekers, and other newly arrived communities. The Council is looking for someone who is friendly, eager to learn, and happy to work as part of a team.

To be considered, you must already have the right to work in the UK (the Council is not offering sponsorship for this role). The closing date to apply is 31 May 2026.

If you want to know more or find out whether this could be right for you, you can read all the details on the Council’s website here:
