Sue founded Carriers of Hope in 2009, and still volunteers full time, co-ordinating all it’s work and projects.
Admin Team Leader
Jayne has been working with Carriers of Hope since April 2020 ensuring all our admin and financial systems are working well. She is Team Leader supporting 3 Admin Staff and some regular volunteers and also co-ordinates the referrals that come to us from outside organisations.
Resource Team Leader
Karen is the Project Manager for the World Foods Food Hub, as well as leading on training and development for both staff and volunteers. Karen coordinates volunteers for all our projects ensuring the right project is matched to the right volunteer.
Children’s Team Leader
Alysia is part of the Children’s Team overseeing the development of projects and running our Learning English Together through Play groups. Let’s Play is a welcoming environment for children and their carers that supports the development of peer relationships and promotes confidence in spoken English through creative and imaginative play in order to help prepare children for nursery.
Clothing Coventry Team and Income Generation Team
Katie oversees 26 City Arcade and our eBay site, as well as many of our fundriaising initatives. She also is leading on our Clothing Coventry Project. Katie also is one of the faces behind our Facebook page and designed and updates this website.
Dawn has worked here since 2018 in various projects. Dawn currently organises the distribution of all incoming and outgoing furniture, liaises with external referrers for emergencies, ensuring families’ needs are met and they are comfortable
Neal works hard to transform an empty house into a home for our clients by collecting, storing, organising and delivering all furniture and white goods donated.
Rinan works in the central office supporting the admin of the World Foods Food Hub and does Arabic interpreting for us when required.
Lin is part of our Children’s Work Team and works with groups of women online and face to face to offer educational opportunities and support on a variety of subjects including Safer Sleeping and Weaning as well as Child Development and English language skills. Lin also provides hands on support in our Let’s Play and creche settings which promote the knowledge of child development and wellbeing whilst providing opportunities for families to develop relationships within the community.
Nosipho is part of our Children’s Work Team and manages our Baby Project, ensuring that expectant mothers have everything they need for the arrival of their babies in hospital and once they return home. Nosipho organises the pre-birth visits and 6+ visits into the community.
Emma receives donations and sorts requests for all the service users.
Namrine supports the admin of various projects including dealing with requests through the crisis telephone and helping to pick and pack items requested. She also keeps our records about what has been distributed and to whom.
