Support for LGBTQ+ Asylum Seekers and Refugees

We know that arriving in a new country as an LGBTQ+ asylum seeker or refugee can be really overwhelming. At Carriers of Hope, we welcome everyone, but we also understand that you might need more specific support and a community to connect with. That’s why Out in Cov is here to help.

What do Out in Coventry do?

  • Provide a safe and welcoming space where members can meet and form friendships, where they can escape the feeling of isolation that many experience, and learn about the asylum process.
  • Offer workshops which are intended to empower members, working on their physical, mental and social well-being.
  • Make links with other groups and take part in public events, such as Pride, celebrations of Refugee Week.
